An F-07 Certificate of Fitness is a certification given to those who pass the FDNY course. This certificate is designed for Fire and Emergency Drill Conductor (Premises Related).
An F-07 Fire Guard certification for Fire and Emergency Drill Conductor (Premises Related) states that the holder of this certification can only work the location listed on their Certificate of Fitness. A W-07 Fire and Emergency Drill Conductor Certificate of Fitness is Citywide and holders are able to work at any location as needed under this classification. Those holding either of these certificates are not required to remain at the premises at all times as with other certifications.
His or her duties consist of conducting drills and staff training in buildings where a Fire Safety Director is not required, otherwise the Fire Safety Director would conduct the drills with staff and occupants. It is not necessary to evacuate the entire building during a fire drill.
In the event of an emergency and because the Fire and Emergency Drill Conductor is not normally present at all times, the responsibility of reporting a fire or emergency falls upon the occupants or building staff members or owner to immediately call 911, state the type of emergency, location, and any casualties if known at the time.
This Certificate of Fitness is valid only for the specific person to whom it is issued and can be used anywhere within New York City.
If you are in need of a Fire and Emergency Drill Conductor (Premises Related) or (Citywide) holding an F-07/W-07 as stated above, please contact NYC TOP BUILDING MANAGEMENT INC.
